There are many books about the history of the Wiener Sängerknaben, most of them out of print like this one. Franz Endler, himself once a Wiener sängerknabe, knows what he is talking about. You can still find the book in antiquariats or now and then on Ebay. Here a few pictures with texts from the book that gives you an idea about the content.
